About Me

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Happy Turkey Day!

Some scenery on the Ranch and Kim!

My Fav of Kim - I did some of her senior pictures.

Jeremy's family - well some of them - came for Thanksgiving. Here are a few highlights!
1. We ate a smoked turkey courtesy John from Alabama. (One of the hunters)
2. Jim and Becky, Jeremy's boss and wife, joined us for dinner.
3. Grandma brought us Clementines! Jeremy's favorites! And a new set of dishes AWESOME!
4. Weldon loved spending time with his Grandma! Haydn had a really fun time with Grandpa
5. We cut down our Christmas tree and saw lots of turkeys - the still alive ones!
6. We spent an afternoon taking Kim's Senior pictures
7. Grandpa helped Jeremy move some cows and cut down trees.
8. Everyone went to church and discovered how different a branch really is!
9. We all had a wonderful holiday spending time with family. And those of you who didn't come - YOU MISSED OUT!!

Emmaline loves to cuddle.

Cutting down juniper trees on the ranch - for our Christmas presents and our Christmas tree!

Grandma wanted to check out the cow that got struck by lightning. Notice the weird ball in Jeremy's hand - we have no idea what it is!

So my hubby has a theory about the ball. He thinks it's a magnet. He says sometimes cows get into bailing wire and eat it so they stick a big magnet down their throat so that when it get into the stomach it goes to the bottom and pulls the wire down to the bottom so it doesn't rip things apart or something to that effect. He said it looked like the right size. But now it makes me wonder if it attracted the lightning. Glad you guys had fun! will we see you at christmas.
