About Me

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Spring has Sprung!

For the first time, I have a yard that requires weeding and whacking instead of a yard that needs designed or better yet, maintained by someone else! It is a wonderful feeling to be out in the sun, beautifying something you own! We had the annual St. Patty's day parade here in O'Neill. This time, the branch did a float for the parade. It was simple and we almost all froze to our seats! But it was a fun adventure. Here are some pictures of the fun we have been having lately!

Guess what kind of woodpecker this is... ( It's a Northern Flicker)

Apparently, the kind that can't tell the difference between wood and metal! (Boy- he was Loud!)

Emma couldn't decide if she was hot or cold... so this was her solution...

The kidlets all bundled up for the parade

Weldon had a Luau at school. They made grass skirts, wore leis and had a lot of fun and games! Yes- that is a mohawk on his head!

Emma wanted to be a cowgirl before church

And Haydn just wanted to be Hannah Montana!

Growing like weeds, your kids need to slow down the growing up until I get to see them again. :)
