About Me

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Here's Spring!

Spring in Nebraska is right around the corner! How do you know... pregnant cows and baby chicks!

We have two heifers that are on the verge of calving their first calves. They are enormous... but especially Rosy (#2) - She looks like a battleship! Legs (#23) is taller, so she isn't quite so strange looking. But we will have baby calves running around here very soon!

Jeremy order 40 - yes 40 - baby chicks from a local hatchery- they came in the mail - crazy right! Of course now they are already twice the size and already getting in their grownup feathers.. I can't remember what they are, but half are redish and the other half are the perfect spring chick yellow - they are so cute!!! Next all we need are flowers and we are ready!

Battleship Rosy on the right.

Leighanne, has learned a new trick - she can whistle. I will be attempting to get it on video as soon as I can - be she just smiles for me when I try to get her to do it... so Jeremy might have to catch it on video! Can't wait!

Awesome!! Miss you guys! Love the pictures! By the way, the song "Lucky" that you have playing on your blog sounds just like you singing Mandi! Beautiful!
