About Me

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Sledding in Nebraska!

We received about 6 inches of snow on Friday, so Jeremy decided to make the most of it. We invited some friends to come sledding on the ranch with us. Tina, David, Malcolm and Cassandra M. came and Eric, Kate, Luke, Claire and Jake P. came as well. The kids LOVED it! Here are some pics of our fun afternoon.Malcolm and Haydn getting ready to sled...

Cassandra knee deep!

I instructed David to say "cheese" - he did so...

Emmaline and Jake, mostly content to just watch

Jeremy and Haydn being creative

Clare impatiently waiting her turn

Haydn and Luke very ready to go

Weldon had a good time, he liked it better going with mom

Emmaline, on the other hand, didn't want to go with mom, or dad!

We had only one run-in with the trees at the very bottom... way to go Malcolm! (sled is in the trees and David had to retrieve it)

Haydn turned out to be quite the daredevil... she didn't get that from me!

You have such a beautiful family! Looks like fun times in Nebraska!

I love the family picture in the field of yellow flowers.
