About Me

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

Silly Libby!

Here is an Ode to Libby, our kitty. We just recently found out that she is the last surviving kitten from her entire litter. They have all taken fatal rides on vehicle tires. She has survived the same thing 4 times now. We joke that she only has 5 lives left - not to waste them! So here is to the luckiest cat alive!

Libby must run and hide at times to save herself from being mauled by kids. She hides anywhere she can - Isn't she beautiful?!

Libby loves to stalk her prey and pounce, whether it be a foot or a hand - of course she did catch her first mouse last night, so we know we aren't spoiling her too much - way to go Libs!

Libby snuck under the covers of our bed. Of course it was on Jeremy's side so I had to wash the sheets - isn't she spoiled!

She likes to be the center of attention... as you can see

Libby loves to chew on our dog Jack's feet and tail. Jack puts up with it most of the time.

October!

This last week was filled with many fun and exciting adventures. First - we had our first blizzard of the winter. Second, we had Sara and Moritz from Germany stay with us a couple days, and third, we traveled to Kearney Nebraska for our church meetings. Following are some pictures of our adventures!Jayson, Haydn and Weldon with some of the guides at the monument (The frontier man on the right was named Curly! He wasn't the friendliest guy in town...The soldier on the left is playing the harmonica and really well too)
Carson, Jayson, Weldon, Emmaline and Haydn

There is strength in numbers - of course Jayson was brave enough to touch the HUGE buffalo on his own first

The monument in Kearney Nebraska

The monument is a museum on the inside and it spans over the entire Interstate.

Our first blizzard - it was wet enough that it broke huge limbs off of trees everywhere. And flooded our driveway.

Growing Up

I am sure that not everyone documents all teeth lost for their child, but in Weldon's case, it sure is exciting! He lost his other top tooth and so now has the official "All I Want for Christmas" look going on.
